IPL 2026: Can LSG bounce back against SRH?
04 Apr 2026

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next 2026 Indian Premier League assignment on Sunday.

The game will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

LSG, who lost their season opener, will be looking to fix their batting issues and tactical decisions that have been questioned lately.

Meanwhile, SRH won their second game after losing their opener.

Here we look at the match preview.

LSG's bowling attack faces stern test
Match preview

After an initial defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, SRH's batting unit clicked in unison against KKR.

Openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma returned to form with quick-fire 40s.

Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy also made their bat talk.

Their battle with LSG's bowling attack, which has been bolstered by Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav's impressive opening spells, will be to watch out for.

To contain SRH's explosive batting, LSG must keep up the pressure in the middle overs.

Tactical decisions under scanner for LSG
Tactical challenges

Despite having star players, LSG were bowled out for 141 against Delhi Capitals.

Though their pacers put up a good fight, they could not defend the paltry total.

They need to find cohesion and turn starts into big scores to compete effectively.

Their tactical decisions, like changing the opening pair and leaving out a key bowler, have faced scrutiny.

These may need reconsideration for the upcoming match against SRH.
